Student Referral
- Referrers must complete and submit a form on the Codeup Referral Page
Payments will be in the queue for processing once the prospective student graduates the program. - You will receive a W9 and direct deposit form that must be completed in order to receive payment.
- Codeup staff members are not eligible to receive referral bonuses for prospective and current Codeup students due to regulation by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Codeup Alumni are eligible. If a Codeup alum accepts a position as a Codeup staff member in any capacity, in that case, they are relinquishing their eligibility for the referral bonus for the period that Codeup employs them.
- There is no cap on the number of student referrals that can be made.
+ Employee Referral
- Referrers must complete and submit a form on the Codeup Referral Page
- You will receive a W9 and direct deposit form that must be completed in order to receive payment.
- The referral bonus will be paid in two parts: $500 on the first pay period following their first
day and $500 on the first pay period following their one-year mark. - If two or more employees refer to the same candidate, only the first referrer will receive
their referral rewards. - Referrers are still eligible for rewards even if a candidate is hired later or hired for another position. However, referrers will not get paid if they leave the company before or during the tenure of the referral candidate who was hired.
- Referred candidates must:
-Have not applied to our company for at least 6 months.
-Be hired as a permanent full-time employee (not as a temporary employee or contractor.)
-Not be an alumnus still within the first 6 months of their first post-Codeup job
placement. - Payments will be in the queue for processing once a Codeup graduate has been placed and receives an offer from the prospective employer partner.
- Codeup Alumni and Staff Members are eligible to receive an Employee Referral bonus.

+ Bonus Payout Options
As a referrer, you also have the option to donate your referral bonus in the following ways:
- You may accept the bonus yourself and it will be paid out to you.
- You may donate your bonus to the Codeup Scholarship Fund, and it will be used for a student that applies and receives an internal Codeup Scholarship.
- You may donate your bonus to a partner 501(c)3 Organization
