Meghan is our People Operations Associate, as well as a student at Trinity University, where she is studying HR and Business Management. At Codeup, Meghan assists with HR, finance, and compliance projects. Meghan was born and raised in Houston, but she’s also lived in The Netherlands and London and loves to travel. When not at work or in class, you can find her exploring the San Antonio food scene, watching movies with friends, discovering local coffee shops, or reading a good book.

Katie Facemire

Katie is our Operations Associate. Originally from Houston, she moved to San Antonio to attend UTSA and graduated with a degree in Marketing. Before Codeup, Katie spend a year living in Shanghai, China teaching English. While living abroad she loved traveling, learning more about other cultures, and eating all types of new foods! On the weekends you can find her visiting her favorite dog parks in San Antonio with her best four-legged friend, Alaska. She’s loves being active and playing sports. Her two favorite sports are women’s tackle football and rugby.

Christian Torres

Christian is a product of the San Antonio Tech District with experience in Technical Support, Marketing, Sales and Project Management. Working with fast-growing companies, he brings knowledge of what is important to our Employer Partners. When he’s not helping place our students, you can find him chasing the Ironman Dream, the sport, not the superhero, that would be silly. Outside of triathlons, Christian enjoys exploring our city, playing in his rock band and creating memorable experiences.

Liza Gomez

Liza comes to Codeup from the education sector after a career of serving as teacher and athletic coach in San Antonio and working for a K-12 EdTech company. Liza is excited to continue working in an education environment while helping students find their path after graduation from Codeup. With a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College, Liza has always found her way back home to San Antonio. Outside of Codeup, you can catch her spending time with her family and doggo, traveling, reading, or playing adult rec sports.

Gabriel Moon

Gabriel Moon

Gabriel is one of Codeup’s newest hires, joining the Placement team as a Business Development Representative. He majored in Political Science at Haverford College and most recently became a Fellow with Venture for America, seeking to promote organic economic growth in San Antonio alongside fellow Fellows in thirteen other cities. At Haverford Gabriel played Division III lacrosse and served as President and Treasurer of the Haverford Charcuterie Union, bringing people together with fancy meats and cheeses. Recently, Gabriel has spent his summers working as an Account Manager and Sales Intern, and hopes to bring a new perspective to the team as he works to source high-quality opportunities for Codeup program graduates. He is an avid reader and writer, loves to cook, and has recently taken up skateboarding though he spends more time falling than skating.

Candra Sweat

Candra is a member of the Professional Development team and dedicated to helping students put their best foot forward. She is a Texas native with her homestead being in Bear Creek, a historic freedman’s settlement located in Irving, TX. After a 16-year break, she graduated from the University of North Texas in 2018, where she specialized in leadership development. Candra is a certified mindset coach who understands the importance of taking control of your path. Her professional life outside of Codeup consists of putting on workshops to develop and empower self-leaders. She also advocates for DEI and works to break down barriers by hosting events that create a safe space for difficult conversations. In her personal life, she encourages everyone to live mind, soul, and body positive and enjoys hosting body inclusive pool parties where you can find her on her favorite unicorn float.

Mariam Naqvi

Mariam graduated from University of Texas at San Antonio with a BBA in Management Science & Business Analytics. She is a Northern California transplant who fell in love with Texas BBQ and couldn’t leave it behind. Prior to joining the Codeup family, she has held a handful of different roles – ranging from teacher to data analyst to a stint as an aircraft technician. She enjoys experiencing new places and cuisines as well as meeting new people. When she is not working, she loves to play sudoku, hike, work in her garden, bake cookies and play video games with her family.

Stuart Rowe

Stuart is one of Codeup’s Admission Managers and focuses on placing students in Codeup’s data science classes. Prior to landing in San Antonio, Stuart’s journey has taken him all over the US. Born north of Boston, he earned a BS in Neuroscience from Tulane University in New Orleans, then spent 3 years at a biotech startup in Cleveland as a Venture for America fellow where he worked in business analysis and operations. Outside of Codeup, Stuart is a huge transit nerd and would love nothing more than to talk your ear off about why you should love and support the bus in your city. He’s also a wannabe chef and enjoys biking and enjoying local parks.

Haley graduated from Texas A&M with a BA in Communications. Prior to joining the Admissions team, she entered the IT industry as a Technical Recruiter in the San Antonio area. This prior experience gives her a unique perspective on the local and national market for IT talent. Outside of work, She can be found exploring the growing city and eating all the tacos! She has a love for art galleries, local coffee shops, cooking new recipes and T.V. documentaries.
