Faith Kane

Faith Kane holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from UT Austin and a Master of Education specializing in Talent Development and Advanced Curriculum from Texas State University. Her background in public education spans nineteen years and six districts in Dallas and San Antonio. Faith is a long-time advocate for empowerment through quality education. She is a graduate of Codeup’s Data Science program who now uses her background to guide and support students.

Casey Friday

Casey graduated from UTSA with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Music. He has since spent almost 10 years as a web developer, specializing in automation and e-commerce. He also spent 1.5 years as the Director of Security at a cryptocurrency hedge fund, where he built custom software for emerging crypto technologies. He has always loved learning new skills quickly and is thrilled to share this pastime with Codeup students. Outside of the class, he loves to disassemble every product can, to see how they work.

Samuel Moore

Samuel is formerly a CNA from Kerrville, TX who found his way into the Computer Science industry in San Antonio, TX. He enrolled at Codeup and graduated with the Andromeda cohort in late July 2019 where he is now a Teaching Assistant. In addition to learning new technologies in his spare time, Samuel is passionate about teaching coding students the creative solutions software engineers in the industry can find. Outside of class, you’ll likely find Sam trying new technologies, game development, playing with an Arduino, or hiking with his two huskies.

Tristan Crawford

Tristan graduated from Codeup in 2018 as part of the Teddy cohort and went on to work as both a Salesforce and Ruby on Rails developer for two years before coming back to Codeup to be a Teaching Assistant. He’s a GNU/Linux enthusiast who has been writing software as a hobbyist for over a decade; and he’s very eager to share what he’s learned in that time in order to set students up for success as they transition into their new careers. Outside of class, you’ll likely find him in a mosh pit at the Paper Tiger or working on music of his own!

Terrell Stewart Teaching Assistant at Codeup | Coding Tech Bootcamp San Antonio

Terrell is a San Antonio local, Codeup alumni, and now is a technical teaching assistant here. If you have a problem he will do his best to help you work though it, making sure you succeed is his goal! He believes nothing says fun like learning a skill that will better you as a person! He loves gaming, conventions, travel, and spends most of his free time trying to master cosplay and streaming. He once ate a ghost pepper whole on a bet and after a brief stint in the hospital pretended like the event never happened.

Josh graduated from Codeup as part of the Deimos Cohort and is now a technical career coach working with graduates as they work to find their first career in software development. Prior to moving to San Antonio to switch career paths, Josh was in the Air Force from 2009 to 2015 and ran his own small business doing Twitch TV and Youtube for over 6 years. He enjoys playing games with friends online and spending time with his cat that was rescued in Austin. His name is Mochi. He is originally from Minnesota so he finds it humorous when Texans think it’s “cold” out.

Sophie Kurihara Instructor at Codeup | Coding Tech Bootcamp San Antonio

Sophie studied Computer Science and Music before diving into the world of web development. After graduating with the Olympic cohort, she worked as a web developer and designer, then came back as an instructor. Sophie believes in constant learning and a design-centric approach to problem solving (and life in general). In her free time, Sophie works on her music, spends time with her family and loves supporting San Antonio’s local culture. Because of her enthusiasm for trying new things, she got sucked into the circus and now trains in aerial arts at Aerial Horizon. If she is having a bad day, boba usually does the trick.”
