Kathleen Weaver

Kathleen Weaver moved to Texas as soon as she could. She’s worked for Texas Instruments as a System’s Analyst and on a Mobile Payment app as a mobile device developer. In between, she taught for Dallas Independent School District. Her passion is helping people to get to the next level in her life, mostly by teaching computer science or web development. She holds an Extra Class Amateur Radio License. She also raises, trains, and shows beagles.

Mark Robinson

Mark Robinson is a Software Engineering practitioner and professor. He has over 25 years of industry experience, and has owned several software development-related startups. He currently owns and operates Fulgent Corporation, a specialty insurance software company, and serves as a VP and technical advisor to Bexarware, Inc., a software development company started by some of his students from UTSA. He received his BS in Computer Science from Trinity University in 1993, his MS in Computer Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2006, and his PhD in Computer Science from UTSA in 2013. He is an Associate Professor of Instruction of Computer Science at UTSA, teaching upper division Software Engineering. He has recently joined Codeup as a web-dev instructor.

Keri Chesire

Keri is one of Codeup’s Student Success Coordinators. She studied Sociology before enrolling in Codeup and graduating with our Olympic cohort in 2017. After Codeup, she held a role as a Support Technician for a local firm. She was promoted to Dev Operations manager, then moved on to run Operations for the whole company. Now, she’s back at Codeup as a Student Success Coordinator! Keri is big on constantly evolving and doing better while always being empathetic, understanding, and kind. If someone has a problem, she’s there to help solve it.

Ry Sutton

Ry attended Codeup and graduated from the Apex cohort in 2020. Prior to Codeup, Ry worked in Public Education/Special Education, Food Manufacturing, and Public Accounting. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing guitar, cooking, and going to see his favorite local bands in Dallas.

Jay Arredondo

Jay graduated from Codeup as part of the Ganymede cohort. Shortly after graduating, he worked at a startup software development agency. Before transitioning into software development, he enjoyed working in Outdoor Education and Parks and Recreation for the City of San Antonio focusing on youth development. To balance his life on the computer, Jay loves to be outside, go hiking with his dog Kali, playing disc golf, and enjoys the company of others.
