Marty Sixkiller will be joining Codeup as the Vice President of Delivery to lead their instructional staff, program staff, and students. He comes to Codeup having served as Director of Engineering Engagement and Director of the San Antonio Development Center within HEB. Before that, he served as a Senior User Experience Manager at Rackspace. In addition, he spent 24 years in the animation industry as a self-taught animator, with 17 of those years in the feature animation industry at DreamWorks Animation. He has over 20 feature-length animation film credits to his name, which includes the Academy Award®-winning ‘Shrek’. His passion around leadership and educational opportunities, along with his creativity put him in the right place on the Codeup Staff! Selin is our Operations Intern focusing on Marketing & Admissions. She will be a May 2021 graduate from Texas A&M University, where she studies Communication, Cybersecurity, and Chinese. Selin is a Houston native. When she is not at work or in class, she loves to explore new foods, find good thrifts, and watch every movie at her local theater with her friends.
Ben is a Kentucky native, but has lived in Texas for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in Communication Studies. When he’s not exploring the latest theme park or state park, he’s exploring new opportunities to learn and grow personally and professionally. Ben comes to Codeup with prior experience in the theme park, retail, and software industries as part of the Business Development Team. When he’s not at work, he’s streaming the latest video games or taking in the latest movies at the theater with his wife of 13+ years.Continue reading
Christian is a product of the San Antonio Tech District with experience in Technical Support, Marketing, Sales and Project Management. Working with fast-growing companies, he brings knowledge of what is important to our Employer Partners. When he’s not helping place our students, you can find him chasing the Ironman Dream, the sport, not the superhero, that would be silly. Gabriel is one of Codeup’s newest hires, joining the Placement team as a Business Development Representative. He majored in Political Science at Haverford College and most recently became a Fellow with Venture for America, seeking to promote organic economic growth in San Antonio alongside fellow Fellows in thirteen other cities. At Haverford Gabriel played Division III lacrosse and served as President and Treasurer of the Haverford Charcuterie Union, bringing people together with fancy meats and cheeses. Recently, Gabriel has spent his summers working as an Account Manager and Sales Intern, and hopes to bring a new perspective to the team as he works to source high-quality opportunities for Codeup program graduates. He is an avid reader and writer, loves to cook, and has recently taken up skateboarding though he spends more time falling than skating.Continue reading
Khanh graduated from Boston College with a Sociology degree. Her favorite sociologist is W.E.B. Du Bois because his work transformed the way Black citizens were seen in American society. Khanh has lived in Boston for 18 years and found herself at Codeup because she loves their mission of empowering others through economic opportunity, community, and tech. She cannot live without music and you can always find her making a Spotify playlist. Fun fact- she has 2000+ followers on one of her playlists! Dimitri graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Urban Studies, and came to Codeup as a 2016 Venture for America Fellow. At Codeup, he serves as our VP of Strategic Initiatives, overseeing broader goals that drive Codeup forward, such as mergers and new campuses. He hopes to start his own company someday! Don’t let the fancy socks and chinos fool you. This Bostonian would much rather be wearing a plain white t-shirt and jorts.
