Investment Options_
We know tuition payment is top of mind for students coming into Codeup. When you’re accepted into a program, you’ll have the opportunity to work with our Financial Aid & Enrollment Manager to explore every option available to you. Over the past year, 88% of our students received some form of financial aid. As you’re working towards acceptance, you can start learning more about our financial aid options below.
Loans_
An investment in your education is an investment in your future – We’ve partnered up with select institutions to offer flexible financing options.
Students may also finance their tuition through outside lenders, such as credit unions or personal bank loans.

Ascent Funding
- Use Ascent Funding’s calculator to see your payments before your apply
- Current income and employment history do not affect your credit decision
- Interest rates are fixed, regardless of your credit score
- No pre-payment penalties
Ascent Funding only works with bootcamps that have passed its rigorous quality review process aimed at ensuring great outcomes for students. Their rates are lower than other lenders because the bootcamp assumes part of the loan “risk,” thus vouching for a student’s future earning potential. Benefits of Ascent loans include:
- Pay only interest while in-program and for 2 months after (note that we will be changing this to 3 months very soon!)

Meritize
Meritize recognizes you are more than your credit score. Your past achievements is something they utilize in addition to your credit score to identify your eligibility. To honor this, Meritize looks beyond FICO and uses your previous academic, military, or work accomplishments to enhance your credit evaluation.
Grants_
Codeup works with four grant partners who are ready to assist qualified candidates. This is a great option to explore if you identify with some of the requirements these organizations seek. Learn more about each one below.

SkillQUEST
From Poverty to Set-Sufficiency
Skill Quest is a program based at Community Council, under a two-year incubation agreement. As part of Community Council’s incubation program, Skill Quest is receiving office space, financial support and management oversight. Skill Quest is one of the transition out of poverty sub-grantees. Skill Quest provides middle skill training assistance for students attending Dallas Community Colleges or Collin College.

Women in Tech Scholarship_
It’s time to level the playing field in tech! Codeup is excited to offer scholarships to women who wish to pursue a career in any of our programs.
Key Details
- All women are encouraged to apply. We define “women” as anyone female-identifying — including transgender, genderqueer, and non-binary.
- Recipients are chosen based on merit, and determined by admission scores in addition to application answers.
- Scholarships are applied as tuition discounts.
Annie Easley Scholarship_
The Annie Easley scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to every Codeup student who identifies as Black or African-American.
Key Details
- We recognize that identities are complex and often intersectional. If you at all identify as Black or African-American, you can apply below.
- Scholarships are applied as tuition discounts.

Minorities in Tech Scholarship_
Codeup is committed to making tech education more accessible to underrepresented groups.

- Any one who identifies as part of a minority group is encouraged to apply.

Pride Scholarship_
Codeup is committed to diversifying the tech industry, that’s why we offer scholarships to all students who identify as LGBTQIA+ community members.
Key Details
- Any one identifying as a LGBTQIA+ community member.
- Recipients are chosen based on merit, determined by admission scores in addition to application answers.
- Scholarships are applied as tuition discounts.
Veteran Scholarship_
As an opportunity to thank the brave men and women who have served our country, Codeup offers scholarships to veterans or dependents enrolling in our programs.
Key Details
- Any military veteran or dependent may apply.
- Recipients are chosen based on merit, and determined by admission scores in addition to application answers.
- Not intended for those whose entire tuition is already fully covered by programs like Vocational Rehab or VET TEC.
- Scholarships are applied as tuition discounts.
First Responders Scholarship_
We are grateful for those who put their lives on the line to help others. As a thank you, Codeup offers scholarships to current and former first responders enrolling in our programs.
Key Details
- Any current or former first responders, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, rescuers, and others certified as first responders, may apply.
- Scholarships are applied as tuition discounts.
COVID-19 Relief Scholarship_
Our mission has always been to empower life change by helping people transition into tech careers, so we have launched a COVID-19 Relief Scholarship to help answer the question many are now facing: what’s next? We know a career in tech isn’t the answer for everyone, but for those of you who have dreamt of it, we hope that combining this scholarship with our existing grant funding can ease your transition.
Relocation_
Code up is looking to maximize the impact of Dallas’s tech community with both local and external talent. As an incentive, we proudly offer scholarships to students relocating to Dallas.
Key Details
- Scholarships available for students relocating to San Antonio for the program
- We’ll deduct your scholarship total from your tuition cost
- Applicants must commit to staying in San Antonio for at least 1 year following graduation

You may qualify for multiple scholarships, but can only receive a maximum of one (1) scholarship from Codeup. If you qualify for multiple, you will receive the largest amount for which you qualify*. You can receive multiple grants. You can have both a grant and a scholarship.
