As a student at Codeup, you’ll have instructors working hands-on with you throughout the process. There are typically 20-25 students per program, with a targeted 10:1 student-to-instructor ratio. Codeup is all about creating a positive, collaborative learning environment to keep you motivated and moving forward. That means no distractions and no giving up. We work you hard and provide the resources you’ll need to move quickly.
Each program is taught by qualified and attentive instructors, allowing every student individual attention, in-person lessons, open discussions, and quick absorption. We even have manned study hall. It’s pretty serious.
Graduates exit the program with a complete, real-world portfolio to show to employers, demonstrating the value they’ll add on day one. In addition, graduating students will have the opportunity to present their final project, live, at our Demo Day.
If you don’t find work within 6 months of graduation, Codeup will refund 50% of your tuition.
In developing Codeup’s immersive training program, we interviewed dozens of people who attempted to learn programming on their own, but were unsuccessful. They aren’t alone: only 4% of people who start online coding courses actually finish. From lack of focus and motivation to inadequate online resources and traditional education failure, it’s not easy to learn how to code.
The Codeup team consists of experienced programmers with ample industry experience. The curriculum, built by our instructors, is designed to prepare students for highly in-demand positions within today’s constantly-evolving technology world. Outside the program hours, our instructors will spend additional time – both mornings and afternoons – assisting you with review materials and providing you with challenges to enhance your experience.
Our approach is hands-on and portfolio-based: you’ll learn by creating real things with real functionality. Through informative lectures and plenty of keyboard time, you’ll work individually and collaboratively to develop interactive web applications, building your professional portfolio one project at a time.
