Why Full-Stack?

Over 1 billion sites now populate the web. This number grows daily. Full-Stack Developers build, maintain, and improve these sites, and the economy needs more of them. That’s where you come in.

The demand for software developers–a career field with a national median salary of $62,500– is projected to grow by 20 percent between 2012 and 2022, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Pursuing a career in software development is often a great decision for both your bank account and job security. Full-Stack development is also intellectually and creatively rewarding. In fact, 95% of our Full-Stack grads report a boost in career happiness.

In Codeup’s immersive Full-Stack program, you’ll get a holistic understanding of the technologies powering today’s websites. From designing user interfaces on the front-end with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to interacting with servers and crafting applications and databases on the back-end, you’ll leave the Full-Stack program with the skills to build a fully-functioning web app from the ground up.

If you don’t find work within 6 months of graduation, Codeup will refund 50% of your tuition.

Why This Works

A 10 to 1 student ratio, real-world project based learning curriculum and an extensive employer network are just some of the reasons why most of our students found work within 3 months of graduating.

In developing Codeup’s immersive training program, we interviewed dozens of people who attempted to learn programming on their own, but were unsuccessful. They aren’t alone: only 4% of people who start online coding courses actually finish. From lack of focus and motivation to inadequate online resources and traditional education failure, it’s not easy to learn how to code.

The Codeup team consists of experienced programmers with ample industry experience. The curriculum, built by our instructors, is designed to prepare students for highly in-demand positions within today’s constantly-evolving technology world. Outside the program hours, our instructors will spend additional time – both mornings and afternoons – assisting you with review materials and providing you with challenges to enhance your experience.

Our approach is hands-on and portfolio-based: you’ll learn by creating real things with real functionality. Through informative lectures and plenty of keyboard time, you’ll work individually and collaboratively to develop interactive web applications, building your professional portfolio one project at a time.
